Limestone trails are accessible to wheelchairs, bicycles, and strollers. Bicycles are not permitted on the woodchip trails. There is a small accessible trail loop around a prairie planting near the east end of the park that is perfect for the tiniest hikers!

The Prairie Patch Play Area incorporates surrounding landscape and vegetation to better experience nature as part of a child’s daily outdoor playtime. The picnic shelter at the Prairie Patch Play Area is available for rent. Please visit Wheaton Park District Park Rentals for more information.

Floating boardwalks with bird blinds are located in our two main open water marsh areas.

Get a higher view of the marsh from our two overlooks off of the Illinois Prairie Path.

Rustic benches made from trees that have fallen at Lincoln Marsh can be found scattered along the trails.

Informational kiosks are located at both park entrances. Interpretive signs and park maps can be found along the trails.

Shelter/Picnic areas are located near our main entrance as well as at the Prairie Patch Play Area. We encourage visitors to utilize our shelter and picnic areas; however, please do not disturb any programs that may be in progress.

The shelter at the main entrance and other picnic areas at Lincoln Marsh are not available for rent and are only used on a first-come, first-served basis if they are not being used for our programs. Use of the fire pit is only allowed under Lincoln Marsh staff supervision. Please contact the Lincoln Marsh office to book a campfire program for your group.

A drinking fountain (available seasonally) is located at the west end of the parking lot at our main entrance.

A pit toilet (available year round) is located near our main entrance. Porta potties (available seasonally) are located at our main and east entrances. We do not have running water available near our toilets so be sure to bring hand sanitizer.

Please place garbage in cans provided. Recycling is encouraged. Try to pack out what you pack in.

Mutt Mitts are available at both trailheads. Please remember to clean up after your dog.
